The Bachelor of Arts in Communication focuses on preparation for careers in business and industry, education, and government (positions in sales and public relations; speech writer or negotiator; administrator or student service provider).

Technical Option for the Communication Degree

The technical option for the communication degree focuses on preparing a student to work with the technical infrastructure that is often used by business, industry, and government for day-to-day communication. Additional technical courses are required to give students broad understanding of the uses of technology in business, education, and government. This program focuses of preparation for careers in information dissemination, media services, conference direction, and publications coordination. The Technical Option is taken in place of a minor.
